New watch band

Select a watch band with the appropriate measurements. Select between metal and plastic.

Now you have to take off the old watch band. Your new watch band should have tools for removing the band. It may include a spring bar tool, a utility that looks like a screwdriver and wrench.
To use the tool, slide it into the gap on both sides of the bar. The bar is what links the watch and the band. The bar will telescope on both ends to install in the body of the watch.
Step 3
To know how to repair a watch properly, the lug holes have to be cleaned. These are the openings that link the spring bar. Use the round headed pin to clean the holes.
Step 4
Put in the new band after cleaning the holes. Slide in one of the spring bar sides in the hole. Set the hand against the hole. Slide the bar into the other hole. If you cannot slide it, retract the bar
to the opposing wide with the spring bar.

Repeat step 4 for the watch’s other side.

Modify the length of the band. If the leather band is too big, make a few holes on the top using a pointed object. If the metal band is too big, you can take off the links with a link removing tool. If the links are bounded by clips, clip removing pliers are required. You can buy these in watch repair shops.
Tips and Warnings
Be certain the band measurements are correct. If the band is too long, it may not last. Do not use a band that is too wide. You may be able to put it on. However, it will put too much pressure on the spring bar. It may lead to warping.
If the band is too narrow, it will not fit in properly either and likely loosen quickly. Do not forget the measurements; they are critical.
