The Playstation 3 or PS3 is a solidly built console, attested by the number of games designed for it. However, problems can arise. Here is a guide on how to fix a PS3 connection error and problems.
How to Repair PS3 Connectivity Problems
Step 1
Ensure that all the connections are stable. Examine the router and cable modem. If they are loose, plug them in securely. If you are utilizing a wireless router, be certain it is in range.
Be certain your connection is fast. Slow Internet connections will affect games. This is especially true in large scale multiplayer games. The ideal connection is 1 Mbps at least. The faster the connection, the better off your gaming experience will be.
Step 3
Another way to resolve this issue is by getting a dedicated Internet connection. If another person is using your connection, the speed will slow down drastically. This is one of the most common connectivity issues with PS3.
Step 4
Update your router by downloading the latest software, driver or patches. These can be found in the manufacturer’s websites.
Step 5
If your wireless router doesn’t work, go for the wired connection. There are some wireless routers that are incompatible with PS3 games. Before you buy a router, make sure that it is compatible with the PS3.
