Put the hooked drain at the back of the washing machine. This should be around the waste water container. Take the other end of the hose. Place it on the stand pipe. Fasten the hose at the receptacle.

The problem will manifest itself when water overflows. If this happens, remove all the clothing there.

Put warm water in the washing machine. Adjust the settings so you’ll use low water. Pour 1 cup of vinegar in the machine; this should unclog the hose.

Set the washing machine on its typical cycle. Do not put any clothes in; just let it run.
